The Brothers Quay started creating stop motion animations in 1979 and are still creating them now, the brothers started with illustration before turning their interest to film. They are well known for their work on music videos for bands such as His Name Is Alive and 16 Horsepower although they are believed to have created many music videos for Tool, this is wrong as they were made by Fred Stuhr who was largely influenced by the work of The Brothers Quay.
